Mother's Day

So, yesterday was my first mothers day. We didn't really do anything TOO special because Justin had to go into work at 2, but it was still really nice.

He took me to Chili's for lunch, and I got to hang out with my beautiful baby the whole time he was gone. I just love this little girl!

Haha, she's so silly. Isn't she cute though? She was so smiley and happy allll day long. She loves the weekends just as much as I do. And soon they will be even better because...

JUSTIN GRADUATES TOMORROW!!!

As soon as he graduates he can sign up for state boards but he probably won't have his license for a month or two. Which means mommy and baby time. Hooray!!!

Kelly had her baby! Grady Patrick Keefe, 8 pounds 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long.

He is one whole everything bigger than Alice was. It's so crazy though! We went to see them last night after Justin got off of work, and he is sooo tiny. I can't believe that Alice was even smaller than him at one point in her life. He sure is cute though.
Boring..but cute ;)

Alice has been so fun lately. She talks all the time, she rolls over, she smiles.
She has actually been trying to sit up on her own. She tries to lean forward whenever I sit her up against a pillow and she eventually just falls over haha. It's so funny!
But I think I may have spoiled her. I gave her too much attention so now she just wants it all the time.
But hey, she's my baby..I don't mind giving her attention.

I am so happy we have a girl. Even though I really wanted a boy at first, I could not be happier that I have my little Alice Sunflower. Kelly said that Grady farted yesterday and smiled right after.
When Alice farts, or burps, or poops she just pretends like nothing happened. She's almost shy about it, it's so cute! We always get compliments on how good she is.

I am seriously so in love with her. She gets better and better everyday.
Newborns are cute and all but 4 month (almost 5!) old babies are super fun!
I can't believe she is almost 5 months old though...
She is growing too quickly! It's a good thing because it means she's healthy, but it's also very sad.

I was looking at newborn pictures today....I can't believe she was so tiny and now she is not so tiny.

Alice at two weeks:

I just love being her mom!

  1. you took the words right out of my mouth! This stage is soo much fun isn't it? They are so silly and giddy and happy. I am loving this stage!! Geez I've said it once and i'll say it again I wish you lived up here so we could play all the time with our little babies. They would love each other they are only a couple of days apart and do a lot of the same things. Kingston just rolled over the other day to and i about died. I never thought something like this could excite me so much!! :) She is soo cute Beth I am soo happy for you.

  2. Gavin does the sit forward thing too. I can't just leave him on the couch anymore because he falls over. I'm glad to know he's not the only baby.
